On the island that nurtured Xenios Zeus, a breath away from the historic village Maleme of Chania in Crete, for almost a century now stands the traditional building that was renamed a few years ago as "Metochi Georgila".

For us, the descendants of those it housed, the value of the authentic traditional building is priceless, being also one of the most distinguished places in the region, rich in local Cretan architectural characteristics. By making good use of the legacy of our great grandfather, Stylianos Georgilas, who was the personal physician of the well-known Greek Prime Minister of the time Eleftherios Venizelos, we wanted to offer our guests a pleasant stay. Our intervention maintained the traditional image of the building, giving fresh breath to its palette of shapes and colors, adding the comforts and the functionality of the modern era.
